Step 1: Choose your patient case

Access 3 patient cases presenting different issues:

  • Medium effusion

  • Large effusion

Step 2: Perform a preliminary observation with ultrasound

Use ultrasound to:

  • Confirm your diagnostic

  • Locate the pleural effusion

  • Identify its limits

Step 3: Perform the thoracentesis

Perform your gesture in an immersive environment:

  • Visualize your patient’s anatomy in augmented reality

  • Feel all the sensations of the gesture

  • Hear your patient’s reactions and advice from a supervisor

  • Anesthetize your patient and drain the liquid from the lung

Step 4: Assess your gesture

  • Access an objective evaluation of the precision of your gesture
